Launch Schedules in Place for Cartoon Network, Adult Swim in Canada

TORONTO: Cartoon Network is making its debut in Canada on July 4, complemented late night by Adult Swim, with shows such as The Amazing World of Gumball, Level Up and Aqua Teen Hunger Force featured in the inaugural lineups.

Regular Show will air on Cartoon Network on its first day in Canada. The series premieres at 8 p.m. and will run Monday to Thursdays in the same time period and Sundays at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Also on launch day, Dexter's Laboratory premieres at 5 p.m. and Powerpuff Girls follows at 5:30 p.m. Dexter's Laboratory will continue weekdays at 5 p.m. with encores Monday to Thursday at 8:30 p.m. Powerpuff Girls takes over a regular Monday through Friday slot at 5:30 p.m.

Also making the grid, Dude, What Would Happen? airs Fridays at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. Destroy Build Destroy launches alongside Dude, What Would Happen? on July 6, taking an 8 p.m. spot. The show will continue airing Fridays at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Level Up premieres on July 7, airing Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. The Amazing World of Gumball joins the network on July 8, to air Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Adult Swim runs on the network post 9 p.m. Its Canadian slate includes The Venture Bros., which launches on July 4, continuing in a weekday slot at 9:30 p.m. Also making a July 4 debut, Aqua Teen Hunger Force will be airing Monday through Friday at 10:30 p.m. as well as on Sundays at 10:30 p.m. Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is part of the launch lineup for July 4, running Monday to Friday at 10 p.m. with an encore on Sundays at 10 p.m. Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! premieres July 7. The series will continue to run Saturdays and Sundays at 11 p.m. Squidbillies premieres on July 7, airing weekends at 9:30 p.m.
